AIDC is more than just Bar Codes. There are a variety of technologies that offer strengths or
limitations based on the job they are required to perform. Bar codes, magnetic stripe, radio frequency identification,
biometrics
and voice data entry are explained in understandable layman’s terms. Dr. Fales provides the class a working knowledge of the strengths and
limitations of each technology through an unbiased presentation that puts each
technology in the context of a real-life application.
By
the end of the class, students will be able to understand the operational
benefits and limitations of a variety of AIDC technologies.
