manipulation and use of the data that will become information used to populate
databases and knowledge management systems. It is not just for students of automatic identification and data
collection (AIDC) technologies. The
information contained in this course is necessary for anyone involved in
information technology (IT) and anyone who provides or uses information services
(IS).
When
finished this class, students will understand the critical need for 100%
accurate and timely data capture and they will be able to identify the various
AIDC technologies that can achieve that level of accuracy.
