Class Description:

As of December 1, 2000, General Motors requires compliance with the GM1724A label specification. Companies that do not comply will be issued PRRs which can put their quality rating at risk. This class helps students to understand why GM must have label compliance to drive down cost and maintain control. This class explains label layout, human readable content, bar code content and the relationship to the data that must be communicated from supplier to GM.
